SUGAR CAUSES WRINKLES?

The British Journal of Dermatology has released a study claiming that the consumption of sugar may hasten wrinkling in skin. It asserts that sugar or any food which produces glucose in the bloodstream, combine with proteins to form a molecule called A.G.E. (Advanced Glycation End products). As A.G.E.'s multiply they ravage adjacent proteins, collagen and elastin proteins which are responsible for skin firmness are highly susceptible. Sagging and wrinkling are the result.
