As a patient consultant, the moral dilemma of cosmetic enhancement is one I have long contemplated. I sincerely believe that if any change in appearance brings about confidence and security in an individual than all that beautifies oneself is not necessarily motivated by vanity and is entirely justifiable. The majority of patients I encounter have reasonable and realistic expectations and therefore are elated by the results of their procedures. The gorgeous smiles I see at follow up visits have always been enough for me to know I am in a business that improves lives.
